While we wait . . . and wait . . . and wait for the second half of Outlander Season One to premiere on April 4th, I thought I’d have a little fun with Ep101: SASSENACH. This is by no means a comprehensive – nor accurate – summary of the episode; however, I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Well, how much fun was that! I loved it. I never know what you’re going to come up with…you constantly amaze us. I know Diana is aware or your blog so I hope she sees this. She’ll LOVE it. She often posts links to Outlander creations she finds amusing. This is definitely a candidate.

  2. Candida- Love your site!! Enjoy your breakdowns of each episode and this new addition is wonderful!! Keep it up and Bliadhna Mhath Ùr!

  3. Thank you & Happy New Yr to you & yours! See you’ve been verra busy- Boy, your comic version is fun, & you are soo funnny! Keep up the good work!

  4. I really enjoyed this. Very cool the way you inserted your own commentary.
Really well done; it looks professional!
    Looking forward to Castle Leoch.

  5. This was fun! Thanks for this. Sam and Cait are simply phenomenal! You can see the second Jamie falls in love with Claire, after she’s fixed his shoulder. The way he stares up at her….Oh, and that scene when Jamie jumps off his horse to stop Claire from fleeing and he’s all bloody and wearing that kilt magnificently!….Sigh…..Um…Where was I? Oh yea. Thanks again. These definitely help with LONG hiatus. Note to self….Watch Ep 1-8 AGAIN. 🙂

  6. Thank you so very much for this account of episode one! As I was in Scotland at the time of the airing, I have not seen any of the episodes, although there was so much written hype and loads of trailers (many of which I could see, many I could not) that I did not feel left out. Now I have had the pleasure of enjoying your fine humour and seeing a lot of the filming. Well done – very well done. I look forward to the next installment!

        1. Absolutely! So, you’ll be back in the States, or wherever, for the second half of the season. You’ll have time to catch up before the second half of the season starts!

          1. It depends on whose TV I’m visiting at the time! I know that some people were able to save it in order to watch it over and over again. I’m hoping for at least one of those friends to be on my Friends and Family tour of the U.S.!

  7. Brilliant! As I am partially hearing I have been struggling watching the episodes online with no subtitles\captions and this really helped. I would so love to see all 8 episodes done this way but no pressure, seriously. Thank you for all your hard work. xx

    1. Sorry to hear you’ve had a bit of a struggle enjoying the episodes, but I’m glad to learn I could help in a small way. Be sure to check out my reviews and Top 30s. Hopefully, they’ll help to enhance your experience. Happy New Year!
